Why isn't my location updating?
Doldrums refreshes weather data automatically every 10 minutes. You can force a refresh at any time by tapping the Refresh button. Make sure location permissions are enabled in your device Settings → Privacy → Location Services → Doldrums.
Where does the weather data come from?
Doldrums uses Open-Meteo, a free open-source weather API powered by national weather services including NOAA/NWS. City name lookups use OpenStreetMap Nominatim.
Is my data shared or stored?
No. Your saved cities and weather journal entries are stored locally on your device only and are never transmitted to any server. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Does Doldrums require an account?
No account required. Doldrums works entirely on-device with no sign-up.
The radar isn't loading — what should I do?
The radar requires an internet connection and uses RainViewer data. Try refreshing or checking your connection. Radar may occasionally be unavailable during RainViewer outages.
